A local healthcare provider in Crawley is seeking Theatre Assistants to support patients in their theatre journey. The role requires a passion for operating theatres, and no prior experience is needed as training will be provided. This position promotes a healthy work-life balance with a Monday to Friday schedule. Successful candidates will aid the theatre team, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to high standards of patient care.
We are looking for Theatre Assistants who will thrive in a fast‑paced operating theatre environment. The successful candidates will support all stages of the patient's journey through theatre and be an asset to the theatre team.
Prior experience is not essential, but a love for operating theatres is. All training will be provided.
This role offers a healthy work‑life balance, as the theatre suite runs Monday to Friday.

The main hospital, East Surrey in Redhill, offers a full range of acute and specialist services and is the closest trauma unit to Gatwick Airport. We also provide outpatient, diagnostic, and planned care services at sites including The Earlswood Centre, Caterham Dene Hospital, Oxted Health Centre, Crawley Hospital, and Horsham Hospital.
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust operates a 24‑hour service, 365 days a year. As such, all nursing, clinical, and operational roles may involve working on a 24/7 shift basis, unless otherwise specified during the recruitment process.

Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service). Pay progression follows the NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) terms and conditions.
Part‑time roles receive a pro‑rated salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked, in accordance with AfC and all medical and dental terms and conditions.
