Rate: £185 per day
Clearance: eDV (Enhanced DV) required
Location: UK (on-site/secure site attendance may be required due to clearance)

This role is ideal for service leaver with the relevant clearance looking for a first contract opportunity.

We’re looking for an eDV-cleared Tester to join a secure programme delivering high-quality software through modern engineering practices. You’ll be responsible for agile automated testing, supporting application lifecycle activities, and helping embed quality throughout delivery—leveraging GitHub Actions and CI-driven test execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and execute automated tests in an Agile delivery environment
• Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Contribute across the application lifecycle: test planning, test execution, defect management, and release support
• Work closely with developers, BAs and delivery leads to define acceptance criteria and test coverage
• Report on quality metrics, risks and test progress to the wider team and stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement of testing approaches, tooling, and environments

Essential skills & experience

• Active, transferable eDV clearance (mandatory)
• Proven experience as a Tester in Agile environments
• Strong capability in GitHub Actions
• Strong capability in Agile automated testing
• Understanding of the application lifecycle (from build to release and support)

Desirable

• Experience working on secure/government programmes
• CI/CD and DevOps awareness beyond GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with modern defect management and test reporting practices
