Test Technician | £13.88ph | Cambridge (6-Month Contract)

As a Test Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting all aspects of static structural testing, including the setup, execution, and breakdown of test units, as well as maintaining the machine shop and assisting with special projects.

The Role

As a Test Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and marking test units accurately to XYZ coordinates
  • Building test equipment such as whiffle tree branches and spreader plates
  • Setting up, monitoring, and breaking down test rigs in line with plans
  • Ensuring all tools and measuring equipment are within calibration
  • Helping keep the machine shop clean, safe, and in good working order
About You

To be considered for this Test Technician role, you should have some of the following:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Good computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in a test environment or with precision mechanical assemblies is beneficial
  • An understanding of quality management systems and working to test plans is desirable
