Job description
Territory Manager - Surgical Ophthalmology - South East England

Our client is one of the best-known and most respected healthcare brands in the world, offering the widest and finest range of eye health products including contact lenses and lens care products, pharmaceuticals, intraocular lenses and other eye surgery products. The company is solely dedicated to protecting and enhancing the gift of sight for millions of people around the world - from the moment of birth through every phase of life.

In this business-critical role, you will drive sales for the specific product areas within their Surgical business. As such you will be responsible for launching and driving sales of new products into allocated accounts. Key customer contacts will be Ophthalmologists as well as other relevant clinical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Customer in-field user training and customer account management
  • Responsibility for KOL development and management
  • Actively support sales demonstrations into major accounts, as agreed with the RSM, KAM team and National Commercial Strategy Manager where a specific presence is required
  • Working closely with other sales and business development teams to identify and close sales into NHS and other structures to gain new business
Candidate experience
  • Ideally graduate level or equivalent professional qualification
  • Theatre based/ Surgical products sales experience with a proven track record of success (Ophthalmology preferred)
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive communications and technical presentations to consultants, senior management and/or large groups
  • Ability to coach sales teams in a theatre and procurement environment
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to be flexible in changing daily workload priorities as required
