An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Territory Manager to drive sales of innovative medical products. This is a dedicated new business Territory Manager role. You will sell the company's entire portfolio of medical devices and consumables, including suction liners, catheters, cardiology consumables, stents, wound drainage vacuums, ENT suction products, and more.
You will liaise with and sell to a wide range of hospital departments such as theatre managers, nurses, procurement, neonatal units, ITU/CCU/ICU, material management, and EBME. The role involves visiting approximately two hospitals daily, with access to multiple departments within each hospital. Around 35% of your time will be spent in theatre.
The coverage area includes Sheffield, Rotherham, Leeds, Bradford, York, Hull, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, and Newcastle.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to join a company that rewards sales achievements. Ideally, candidates will have a life science degree and a sporty, competitive nature.
Minimum three years of sales experience, including cold calling, is required. The role suits someone accustomed to a fast-paced environment where accounts are always at risk. You should regularly engage with customers to prevent switching to competitors. The role involves nurturing new business through cold calls and account management, often reconnecting with stakeholders after 6-12 months for new product introductions.
While there is flexibility in candidate backgrounds, the key qualities are commercial acumen, closing skills, and a willingness to learn.
