£50k-£55k plus benefits
Our client is looking for a driven Temporary Works Engineer to take an active role in designing, analysing, and delivering a wide range of engineering projects. The position offers the chance to work independently while collaborating closely with contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams, providing exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle.
Day-to-day responsibilities include producing temporary works designs, preparing technical drawings and reports, carrying out structural analysis, supporting tender submissions, and undertaking site visits to review ongoing works. The role also involves managing personal workloads, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and helping to guide junior engineers.
Candidates should hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited course, ideally with a 2:1 or above, and be committed to progressing toward professional qualification. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with design software and Microsoft Office are important. A minimum of two years' experience in engineering design—preferably involving temporary works or rail‑related projects—is desirable.
Our client is seeking someone proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic, with the ability to work both independently and within a fast‑paced team environment. A driving licence, PTS certification, and familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation are advantageous. The role may occasionally require night or weekend site work.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation where you can take on real responsibility, develop your technical and commercial skills, and play a key part in delivering impactful engineering solutions.
