An employment agency is looking for a dedicated ICT Technician in Sunderland. In this role, you will provide essential ICT support to staff and students, maintain IT facilities, and assist with software management. Location: Sunderland
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing
Salary: £14.39 - £14.86 per hour, paid weekly through OA
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm (Monday-Thursday), 8:00am - 3:30pm (Friday)
Term Time Only
Start Date: January 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line ICT support to staff and students, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Maintain IT rooms and equipment, keeping everything up to date.
  • Keep software/hardware inventories updated and accurate.
  • Manage helpdesk calls and respond independently to IT issues.
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new and existing software.
  • Develop and maintain recording systems for ICT usage.
  • Support staff presentations with technical assistance.
  • Commission, maintain, and repair electronic systems and AV equipment in compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Conduct portable appliance testing in accordance with health and safety legislation.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and share insights with your colleagues.
  • Always adhere to trust policies and procedures.
Essential Criteria
