Job description

To strengthen our Reservations team over the busy festive period, we are recruiting for Temporary Cruise Sales Consultants in our Ipswich Head Office. This is for an immediate start and will last for approximately two months. During this time, you will be fully supported by our Learning & Development team, who will ensure you have the knowledge and confidence needed to assist our guests effectively. There is also the opportunity to earn commission in addition to your salary. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday (12pm to 7pm) plus either Saturday (9am to 5pm) or Sunday (10am to 4pm) on a rota basis. We welcome applications from candidates with varying availability across these days.

Responsibilities
  • Handling customer enquiries and reservations in a polite and professional manner.
  • Building and maintaining your own knowledge library on rates, prices and terms of business.
  • Effectively promoting all relevant Fred. Olsen products to customers.
  • Confirming bookings and upselling all relevant products.
  • Selling the Fred. Olsen products and brand to customers.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
  • Are personable with excellent communication skills and a polite, engaging telephone manner.
  • Can build positive relationships with our customers.
  • Are educated to GCSE-level or equivalent, with a C or 4 in Maths and English.
  • Possess a positive attitude and are keen to learn our destinations.
  • Are organised and able to manage tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Can start immediately and are available until mid‑February.
