Technology Risk Manager (2LOD / Data)

Package : c. £80,000 + 15% bonus + 28 days holiday + 13% pension + private healthcare + hybrid working (London).

Our financial services client is seeking a Technology Risk Manager with strong experience in data risk, data quality governance, and client data remediation coupled with strong experience in 2LOD.

You will support a major data transformation programme, including migration of legacy data to the cloud, and work closely with the Chief Data Officer, CISO and Deputy CIO to manage technology and data risks across the organisation as our client continues their "first in history" modernisation programme.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide second-line challenge and assurance over technology and data risks.
• Enhance and embed data / technology risk frameworks aligned to risk appetite.
• Support RCSAs, scenario analysis, and risk reporting.
• Oversee data governance, data quality, and regulatory requirements (incl. GDPR)
• Lead and develop a small team of risk professionals.
• Advise stakeholders on risk matters across projects and change initiatives.

Key Skills

• Strong 2nd line experience in technology risk, data risk, operational risk, or data governance is a must have
• Solid understanding of data risk frameworks, data lifecycle, and regulatory expectations is a must have.
• Thematic reviews, reporting and other audit associations would be advantageous around building a data risk framework
• Financial services background essential.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capability.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CISA) desirable.
