Job summary

A leading engineering and construction firm in Stone Cross seeks a Murphy Technician to prepare as-built drawings and collaborate with teams in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is skilled in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and other CAD applications, with experience in the utility and HV Plant sectors. Responsibilities include liaising with teams to ensure drawing requirements are met and adhering to company procedures. Strong organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

  • Competent with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ReCap or similar.
  • Previous experience in the utility and/or HV Plant sector.
  • Familiarity with CDE systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project as-built drawings.
  • Liaise with project teams regarding drawing requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams on project deliverables.
  • Work to BS EN ISO 19650 standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company CAD Standards.

Skills

Competent with Autodesk Revit
Proficient in AutoCAD
Familiar with Navisworks
Experience with document control systems
Understanding of project budgets

A day in the life of a Murphy Technician
  • Preparation of project as-built drawings.
  • Take part in roles assigned within a BEP and work to BS EN ISO 19650
  • Formulation of deliverable packages and liaise with document control teams.
  • Interrogation/preparation of models and drawings using various cad applications.
  • Assistance, where required, with project tender packages
  • Co-ordinate with internal & external team members/design teams/project teams where required.
  • Liaise with colleagues, other departments and project teams with respect to drawing requirements
  • Prepare drawings in accordance with current company CAD Standards
  • Ensure that drawings are prepared, stored, issued and archived in accordance with company procedures via internal CAD Data Management software
  • Capability to work to strict deadlines and project budgets
  • Ensure that chargeable work can be evaluated by the preparation of adequate timesheet record
