Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week

Salary: £223,810 - £25,000 (actual £14,286 - £15,000)

To support the smooth running of the Campus, working closely with the Resource Manager to ensure that the buildings, facilities and services are provided and maintained to all company and legislative standards.

To provide front line technical, resources and facilities related support to students and staff with the focus on the provision of an exceptional student experience.

This is a student-facing role, supporting staff and students directly in smooth running of the day to day facilities and resources required for lessons.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Campus Team in the setup and maintenance of equipment for lessons, coursework, exams and special events
  • Ensuring all facilities and resources are clean, tidy and well maintained
  • Acting as point of contact on site for Students and Staff requiring assistance and / or support with equipment, facilities and resources
  • Responding to and resolving support requests in a timely manner
  • Overseeing booking systems, booking resources out to staff and students
  • Scheduling and performing equipment tests and maintenance
  • Implementing regular preventative maintenance schedule to ensure equipment and facilities are ready and available for course delivery as well as evening and weekend bookings where appropriate.
  • Liaising with external contractors with regards to electrical, security, fire alarm maintenance and upgrade work
  • Ensuring that building systems (alarms etc) are tested routinely across site and maintain accurate records of such are maintained in line with company processes and procedures
  • Supporting students and staff with the set up and use of technical and specialist resources and systems
  • Acting as keyholder for the site, being responsible for opening / closing the building in line with shift pattern and being available out of hours to answer alarm call outs
  • Working with the Campus Facilities Manager to plan and upgrade facilities, including budgeting for works and appointing contractors
  • Working with the technician team to plan and implement room upgrades and redesigns
  • Assisting with the creation and management of inductions and user tests for specialist facilities
  • Managing room bookings, working with the Head of Center in timetabling sessions and resources
  • Offering support to student projects and outside events by keeping an overview of the curriculum and consulting with tutors
  • Liaising with IT technicians and the central IT team to ensure a smooth running of the IT infrastructure
