Job description

Role overview

As a Service Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping our fleet customers' Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles performing at their best. This position is based on-site at one of our fleet partners, where you'll carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs exclusively on Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Working independently on the customer's premises, you'll represent Citygate and the Volkswagen brand with professionalism and pride — delivering the same exceptional service quality we offer in our own workshops. You'll build strong working relationships with the fleet team, provide expert advice, and ensure every vehicle leaves your care meeting Volkswagen's exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Service Technician will be:

• To receive work from the workshop controller and carry out related checks, administration and protection routines
• To assess tool and equipment requirements and communicate any related issues
• To service and repair all vehicles
• To report on all additional repair requirements as they are identified
• To make written and verbal reports on service and repair in the workshop the workshop controller in order to obtain authorisation
• To complete all administrative procedures (including warranty) relating to service and repair work
• To maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• To undertake vehicle road tests when necessary
• To assist with development and training of other technicians
• To attend meetings and training programmes as required
• To perform other duties in support of other team members as required

• You will be a Level 3 qualified vehicle technician ideally with VAG group background
