Job description
Overview

I'm recruiting for a hands-on Technical Warehouse Manager (Audio Visual / Events) to take ownership of a busy, fast-paced AV warehouse. If you’re a senior AV tech who’s ready to step off the road but still wants to stay close to the kit and the people, this could be a great fit.

Role details
  • The role: Technical Warehouse Manager (AV, Events Management, Professional Media)
  • The salary: £40k to £45k + benefits
  • Location: Preston, Lancashire
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700 (with occasional weekends)
  • Open to candidates already based within a commutable distance of Preston, Lancashire - NO relocation/no sponsorship
What you’ll be doing
  • Leading and mentoring a team of 4 junior techs. Setting standards, building skills, and keeping the place running smoothly.
  • Overseeing all things AV kit, from prep & de-prep, maintenance, and repairs, through to keeping inventory databases accurate and up to date.
  • Making sure health & safety isn’t just a tick-box exercise but part of day-to-day working.
  • Coordinating transport and logistics for equipment, deliveries, and events.
  • Driving process improvements and keeping standards high across a busy, growing operation.
Must-haves
  • Strong technical knowledge of AV equipment and warehouse processes - PARAMOUNT
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and mentor a team.
  • Process-driven mindset with sharp attention to detail.
  • Confidence with systems and databases (accuracy matters here)
  • A modern, collaborative approach (we’re not after “old school clipboard and barked orders”).
Good to haves
  • Experience managing compliance (PAT, LOLER, H&S).
  • Knowledge of transport management (vehicle bookings, logistics, etc).
  • An interest in new AV tech and ways to improve workflows.

This is a role where you’ll need to balance technical know-how, leadership, and process management. In return, you’ll get the chance to shape a growing team, keep your hands on the tech (without endless travel), and be part of a company that values forward-thinking people.
