A Nalco Technical Specialist provides hands‑on technical support for water treatment applications. This includes conducting plant surveys, system analysis, and troubleshooting equipment to optimise water usage and meet performance targets. The role also involves building strong client relationships, managing chemical inventory, and working closely with the sales team to implement and maintain water conservation technologies such as 3D TRASAR across various industrial sectors.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Customer Support & Service : Deliver routine and advanced technical support through plant surveys, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting of equipment (. 3D TRASAR).

System Analysis & Optimisation : Evaluate system data, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements for performance and sustainability.

Sales & Service Collaboration : Partner with Sales Representatives to support new application start‑ups and provide technical input during customer engagements.

Equipment & Chemical Management : Perform light maintenance, conduct sample testing, and manage chemical orders and inventory.

Reporting & Documentation : Produce digital service reports, track support tickets, and ensure compliance with safety and incident reporting protocols.

Continuous Improvement : Enhance service delivery, exceed client expectations, and contribute to technical project development.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or life sciences.

Experience : Strong background in water and wastewater treatment.

Technical Aptitude : Solid mechanical understanding with the ability to interpret data and troubleshoot complex systems.

Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and reporting.

Customer Service : Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships and manage client expectations.

Autonomy : Capable of working independently and managing responsibilities in a self‑directed environment.

Role Expectations

Provide contractual service and problem‑solving support for our products, applications, and solutions.

Deliver on‑site field service and 24‑hour support (remote or in‑person as needed).

Conduct site surveys, audits, and assist Sales with new business proposals.

Ensure the Six Service Standards are implemented at all client sites.

Offer expert advice to internal teams and customers in areas of technical expertise.

Adhere to Ecolab safety protocols and incident reporting procedures.

Operate flexibly and independently, managing your own schedule.
