Based at our modern and well-equipped Fleet Maintenance Centre in Eastleigh, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS), are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced metal worker/fabrication specialist.
This position requires the applicant to be an experienced welder in both MIG and TIG, be competent with fabrication techniques, be competent in operating a variety of metal working machinery such as guillotine and box press and have experience installing vehicle stowage. Other tasks will involve:
Maintenance and care are carried out across the 62 HIWFRS sites and you will be expected to complete tasks on fire stations and on occasions at the scene of operational incidents to ensure the readiness and availability of fleet and equipment assets. This position is based at Eastleigh, however on occasions you may be required to work at other HIWFRS locations within the county of Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight,therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.
