Technical Sales Engineer

The Role

Our is now looking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer to support ongoing growth and strengthen relationships with both customers and suppliers. This role is ideal for someone with a hands‑on engineering background who enjoys combining technical knowledge with customer interaction. You will act as a key technical point of contact, advising on tooling solutions, understanding customer requirements, and helping to drive sales through expertise and trust.

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven technical background in CNC machining (milling, drilling, turning, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling applications
  • Experience dealing with customers and suppliers, ideally in a face‑to‑face environment
  • Confident communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Proactive, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, growing business
  • Commercial awareness with a customer‑focused mindset
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical sales support for smart tooling solutions
  • Engage with customers face to face to understand machining requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure technical accuracy and deliveryDemonstrate strong understanding of machining processes, including CNC milling, drilling, and turning
  • Support business development activities through technical input and relationship building
  • Maintain a professional, consultative approach with customers at all times
  • Our client will consider CNC Millers/CNC Turners or Drillers who are ready to progress the career to the next step
