Overview

Senior Technical Manager role at Myton Food Group, supporting Morrisons and a growing number of external customers. You will shape and execute the Technical function, with a proven track record in leading the technical function for a diverse produce operation, and will be keen to grow with the business. The role focuses on driving food quality, customer satisfaction, and overseeing food safety, legality and integrity across the produce manufacturing site in both high risk and low risk areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Technical strategy for the site, working closely with the Myton Food Group Produce division, aligning with commercial, operational and broader business goals.
• Lead Site Technical and Hygiene teams to deliver vertically integrated products for own brand and 3rd party customers.
• Drive culture change programmes for quality delivery and new business projects.
• Ensure safe, legal, high-quality products, guarding against customer illness, fines, adverse publicity, and brand damage.

Qualifications & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing processes, produce quality and food safety controls, and legislation.
• Experience collaborating with At Source, site technical, procurement and operational teams.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in large and multi-site leadership.
• Ability to drive performance improvement and manage change at pace.
• Excellent communication, engagement, and motivational skills.
• Recognised qualifications in Microbiology, Food Science, Food Technology, Lead Assessor, and HACCP.
