Technical Manager – Manufacturing | Norfolk / Suffolk Border (Diss)

An established and well invested manufacturing business on the Norfolk / Suffolk border is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to strengthen its technical leadership capability and support the future direction of the organisation.

This is a senior, influential role within the business, offering genuine scope to shape technical standards, processes and longer term leadership capability.

Salary from £50,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience, alongside a strong overall package including UK relocation support where required.

We are happy to have initial conversations before Christmas, with interviews progressing into the New Year.

About the Business

Our client is a respected plastic manufacturing organisation producing high quality injection-moulded products for a diverse customer base. They are recognised for their focus on quality, continuous improvement and collaborative working across technical, production and quality teams.

With clear long term plans and a commitment to developing internal leadership, this appointment forms part of a considered succession and growth strategy.

The Role

This is a hands‑on Technical Manager position with real influence across the operation. You will act as the senior technical authority, working closely with Production and Quality teams, as well as customers, suppliers and tooling partners, to ensure robust, efficient and commercially sound manufacturing processes.

  • Providing visible technical leadership across Production and Quality
  • Owning technical relationships with customers, suppliers and toolmakers
  • Leading process improvement and cost efficiency initiatives
  • Driving optimisation of materials, tooling and manufacturing processes
  • Supporting quality, delivery and continuous improvement objectives through cross‑functional collaboration

The role will suit someone comfortable balancing detailed and hands‑on technical problem solving with broader leadership responsibility.

About You

You will be an experienced technical leader, ideally from a plastic injection moulding or closely related manufacturing environment.
