Technical Lead - Azure / .NET (Contract)

Location: Remote with occasional day on site

Contract Type: 9-12 months (with potential extension)

Start Date: October 2025

Rate: up to £625/day

We're seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to guide the development of a robust, scalable platform for a technology SME. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping architectural direction, mentoring developers, and ensuring delivery excellence across a high-impact programme.

This is a rare opportunity to lead from the front, architecting solutions, solving implementations, and bridging the gap between product and engineering teams.

Key Outcomes
  • Deliver well-architected, high-quality solutions that integrate seamlessly into the wider platform.
  • Maintain and improve code quality through reference implementations, monitoring, and rigorous code reviews.
  • Ensure product and technical teams share a clear understanding of goals, impacts, and constraints.
  • Contribute to architectural direction through collaboration with other Technical Leads and the Architecture team.
  • Mentor developers and foster technical growth.
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong hands-on development experience in C# / .NET Core
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable architectures in Microsoft Azure including Azure Function Apps, App Services, Service Bus, etc
  • SQL Database, PostgreSQL
  • Skilled communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience mentoring developers and leading code review practices

Desirable:

  • Background in regulated environments
  • Experience working in multi-team, cross-functional delivery programmes
