Technical Design Manager
UK – Nationwide Projects

An established UK leader in the design and manufacture of outdoor leisure equipment is seeking a Design Manager to head up their innovative design and engineering team. This is a key leadership role driving product development from concept to production, ensuring designs meet the highest standards in safety, creativity, and durability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary design and engineering team
• Oversee full product design lifecycle – from client brief to production
• Ensure compliance with safety and manufacturing standards
• Integrate design processes with ERP systems to improve production planning
• Collaborate with sales, production, and installation teams to deliver feasible, efficient solutions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical design management role (playgrounds, furniture, or outdoor structures)
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or similar)
