A leading healthcare technology company is seeking a Technical Consultant to provide clinical support for TAVI procedures in the London area. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and be skilled in working with healthcare professionals. Flexibility for extensive travel is required. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
At Medtronic you can begin a life-long career of exploration and innovation, while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all. You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.
As a Technical Consultant for Structural Heart, you will provide thorough and in-depth technical support to interventional cardiology professionals including physicians, nurses, and other cath lab personnel. You will play a key role in supporting the commercial organisation with extending and developing the accounts and customer product portfolio usage. With a passion for helping patients and a clinical training mindset, you will make a significant difference in the London area. You will spend much of your time at hospitals, supporting transcatheter aortic valve implant (TAVI) procedures. This support includes “scrubbing in” with the clinical team, loading the replacement valve onto a catheter delivery system (under sterile conditions) and then providing clinical case support during the implant. You will be part of a strong technical consultant team that support each of our regions across the UK and Ireland, with this role linked to the NorthLondon region. This role involves extensive travel to centres in and out of your region every week (80% on territory / 20% off territory) so you will need to accommodate a very flexible work schedule and in possession of a valid driver’s license.
Previous TAVI / Structural Heart experience is a distinct advantage.
