Job Description
- Lead statutory compliance across hard services, ensuring all policies, procedures, and Safe Systems of Work meet current legislation and best practice.
- Oversee compliance activities including inspections, surveys, statutory testing, PPM, remedial works, and accurate certification.
- Conduct audits and quality checks on contractors, ensuring competence and driving continuous improvement.
- Provide expert technical advice across fire safety, electrical systems, gas, lifts, ventilation, water hygiene, and asbestos.
- Develop technical specifications for maintenance and lifecycle projects, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Act as a key liaison with consultants, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders on complex technical issues.
- Manage day‑to‑day compliance operations, including repairs, maintenance, and project delivery.
- Support business continuity planning, risk assessments, and safety‑critical documentation.
- Monitor regulatory changes, identify risks, and implement improvement strategies.
- Drive performance of life‑safety contracts and support the introduction of new technologies to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Deliver training and updates to promote a strong compliance culture.
- Maintain up‑to‑date specialist knowledge through ongoing CPD.
The Successful Applicant
- Strong knowledge of building отношений, building standards, statutory compliance, and building services legislation.
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and wider compliance legislation.
- Proven experience in fire safety compliance, estates safety, and fall‑arrest requirements中文字。
- Solid understanding of statutory obligations across asbestos, electrical, fire, gas, mechanical, andigious safety.
- Track record of delivering compliance within a regulated building services environment.
- Ability to interpret legislation, regulatory standards, and best‑practice guidance.
- Experience with compliance reporting, performance monitoring, and contractor audits.
- Knowledge of compartmentation, fire doors, passive fire protection, fire stopping, fire dampers, and related systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience working independently and managing unexpected issues.
- IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification.
