Job Title: Technical & Compliance Manager

Location: Scunthorpe

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm

This is a Permanent position.

£45,000 per annum plus 5 weeks annual leave.

A full-clean UK license is required and the ability to travel to customers and suppliers as required to conduct trials and audits as required by the business.

Job Summary

The role of the Technical & Compliance Manager is to deliver high quality pet products to market, managing a comprehensive quality management program ensuring all internal, customer, regulatory and legal requirements as related to manufacture of the product are met.

Responsibilities
  • Implementation and management of quality systems to ensure product safety and quality requirements are met.
  • Mitigating risk of non-conformances against internal, customer and regulatory specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and manage detailed project timelines, ensuring all project activities, dependencies, and durations are captured correctly to ensure the systematic management of internal and co-manufactured NPD projects.
  • Perform on-site product testing as per HACCP requirements.
  • Prepare and send product for testing, including individual customer testing requirements as needed.
  • Conduct routine in line inspections and undertake product sample reviews and testing to ensure products are within specification and meet strict quality standards.
  • Conduct internal audits as per QMS requirements for the site.
Qualifications
  • High level of autonomy with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of BRC, ISO and consumer goods regulations standards.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience across Microsoft applications including Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Significant experience in a NPD, quality assurance or technical compliance role within a manufacturing environment.
