Technical Administrator

Location : Lancaster

Salary : £12.21 per hour while training (with progression once fully trained)

Hours : Monday–Thursday 8 : 30–17 : 30 Friday 08 : 00–16 : 00

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Administrator to join a leading organisation within the engineering and materials testing sector. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured, technical environment and is confident managing data, documentation, and customer orders with accuracy. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of destructive testing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Booking customer orders and job requests accurately into internal systems
  • Preparing, updating and maintaining test documentation and certification
  • Assisting with job scheduling, workload planning and workflow coordination
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure testing requirements and deadlines are met
  • Monitoring job progress and ensuring all records are compliant and up to date
  • Providing administrative support to technical teams and test engineers
  • Handling general office duties including reporting, filing and data entry
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in an administrative or technical administration role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with various departments
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, process‑driven environment
  • Engineering, manufacturing, or laboratory environment experience is beneficial but not essential
