Team Manager Specialist Fostering Services

Location: Enfield, London Salary: £65,000 + benefits

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Service Manager to lead and develop a specialist fostering service supporting children and young people. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape policy, oversee staff, and ensure the highest standards of care in line with National Minimum Standards (NMS) and Ofsted requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the fostering service, supervising Social Workers, Support Workers, and administrative staff.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to respond to complex situations.
  • Ensure compliance with Fostering Regulations, NMS, safeguarding legislation, and statutory obligations.
  • Work with senior leadership to deliver the service's strategic objectives.
  • Lead staff development, recruitment, and retention of foster carers.
  • Oversee performance monitoring, audits, and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Serve as Safeguarding Lead, promoting the welfare of children, foster carers, and staff.
What We re Looking For
  • Proven leadership and management experience in fostering, children's services, or residential care.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted standards, and fostering regulations.
  • Ability to supervise and develop a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to undertake NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) if not already held.
