Overview

Working in a busy role which requires you to think on your feet and pro-actively problem solve - dealing with operational challenges as they arise, escalating to more senior managers if necessary. You will want to make a difference and proactively look for ways to make improvements and challenge current ways of working. To join us as a Warehouse Team Manager you will have previous experience of leading a team in a fast paced, time pressured environment. Experience within a warehouse operation would be advantageous but is not essential. What's key is your ability and desire to learn - understanding the business and operation quickly. Shift Pattern: Night - Sunday to Thursday 19:30 to 04:30

Role and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for ensuring your team of warehouse operatives are working safely and efficiently, and that key targets are being achieved.
• Lead by example and drive high performance through communication, teamwork and building strong working relationships.
• Plan workload and resource effectively in collaboration with the shift manager.
• Develop the skills of your team members to support their career aspirations and increase shift capability.
• Complete paperwork and administration as part of the role, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the resourcing team to support staffing requirements.
