Job description

As Team Leader, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to adults with complex mental health needs. Your role will improve care pathways, support staff development and ensure high standards of clinical practice, ensuring service users and carers receive timely, person‑centred support that promotes recovery and inclusion.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Community Psychiatric Nurse or Allied Mental Health Professional with substantial community mental health experience
  • Clinical credibility, operational confidence and a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day team management, supervision, caseload oversight and contribution to service improvement
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability and integrated working
  • Support by the Service Manager; work closely with senior clinicians including the Community Matron and Senior Mental Health Practitioner
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary working and maintain robust communication across internal teams and external partners
  • Execute both clinical and managerial duties to ensure safe, effective and person‑centred care
  • Implement and monitor HR policies and delegate responsibilities appropriately
  • Set and monitor clinical standards; promote safe, inclusive practice and ensure continuity of care
  • Respond to incidents and complaints, embed learning and drive improvement
  • Manage staffing, budgets and safe working environments; support agile working and address cost pressures
  • Maintain strong links with partner organisations; lead meetings and represent the team across services
  • Depute for senior leaders; lead complaints resolution; support student placements; contribute to service‑wide projects and initiatives
