Purpose of the Role

The Corporate Communications Team Administrator will provide essential administrative and coordination support to the Corporate Communications team, ensuring smooth delivery of all communication activities and workstreams. This role is pivotal in managing media‑related processes, reporting, and operational tasks that underpin the team’s success.

Role Dimensions

Based at our McLaren Technology Centre in Woking for a minimum of 3 days per week. The role reports into the Corporate Communications Manager but will need to build strong relationships with the whole communications team and key stakeholders across the business to effectively execute the role.

Principal Accountabilities
Team Support & Coordination
  • Assist the wider Corporate Communications team in delivering all communication activities and workstreams as required.

  • Act as a central point of contact for administrative queries and support.

Media Management
  • Manage the media centre and monitor the media enquiries inbox, ensuring timely responses.

  • Maintain and regularly update all media lists and media assets and materials to ensure accuracy and relevance{-# remains no #}}

Reporting & Analysis
  • Compile and distribute key reports, including Daily media review, media monitoring and coverage reports, monthly corporate communications report, board report, and individual campaign/activation reports.

  • Support in pulling together decks and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Content & Communications
  • Issue corporate communications press releases and monitor media pick‑up.

  • Manage the speaking request inbox and coordinate communications back to the business.

Creative & Asset Management
  • Oversee photography and video media requests, including executive bios and corporate headshots.

Financial & Administrative Tasks
  • Managederdag subscription, purchase orders (POs), and supplier and agency invoicing processes.

Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and familiarity with media monitoring tools. Experience using AI tools such as Copilot would be an advantage.

  • Experience in corporate communications or a similar administrative role is desirable but not essential.
