A local educational institution in Morley is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for SEND to provide personal care and learning support for children. The ideal candidate will work closely within classes, providing general assistance and 1:1 support for pupils with communication SEND needs. Support Staff D, 5‑6. £16,286‑£16,544 actual pa (£25,583‑£25,989 FTE). Fixed term until July 2026. Part‑time: 27.5 hours per week during term time plus one week. Required from January 2026.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for SEND to provide personal care and learning support for our children in Morley Church of England Primary Academy. The successful applicant will work within classes to provide general teaching assistant support and some 1:1 support for pupils with communication SEND needs. We are ideally seeking experience in supporting children both with learning and pastoral care; ELSA could form part of this role. The candidate should be flexible, imaginative, and creative, with knowledge of learning in KS1/lower KS2 and a capacity to give individualized support that enables children to access learning at their level.
Working pattern will be agreed at interview but must fall within academy hours Monday to Friday.
