As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be a crucial part of our mission to create an environment where every student can thrive academically and personally, regardless of their social, emotional, or mental health challenges. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide individualized support and implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.

Salary Scale:

£85-£115

Contract Type:

Full-time

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  2. Implement strategies and interventions to support the social and emotional development of students.
  3. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to address specific needs.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  5. Monitor and assess the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour support plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Proven experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role is advantageous.
  2. Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  5. Knowledge of relevant SEMH strategies and interventions, or willingness to learn.
