Teaching Assistant (SEN Experience Essential)
Location: Horley
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Contract: Term-Time Only
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:
Randstad Education is currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive school setting. This role requires a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners.

You'll play a vital role in assisting teachers, supporting students with diverse learning needs, and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both one-to-one and in small groups

  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCOs

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement

  • Support students' social and emotional development

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience working with children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, or SEMH)

  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Relevant qualifications or training in education/SEN support (desirable but not essential)
