A well-respected educational institution in Wythenshawe is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to support students with complex learning difficulties. You will work closely with teachers and help implement Individual Learning Plans while fostering an inclusive learning environment. This role offers a pro-rata salary of £21,662 alongside generous benefits and professional development opportunities.
This is a great opportunity to work in a Special Educational Needs School, working under the supervision of other teachers. You will be part of a team providing exceptional education for students. You will require tact and diplomacy in order to build excellent interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders including colleagues across the school and trust, parents and external agencies. Experience of working with children and/or young people with communication, severe, profound or complex learning difficulties is highly desirable. Candidates should have experience of supporting with students who have bespoke plans to support behavioural challenges. Main purpose of the job: You will be a part of a team providing exceptional education for students so that they become happy, confident adults.
Someone who understands the role of a Teaching Assistant, collaborates effectively with classroom professionals, and has basic knowledge of child development and learning and excellent numeracy and literacy skills, qualified to level 2 or equivalent/higher. The right candidate will be committed to professional standards, continuously striving to maintain and enhance their knowledge and skills. A focus on teamwork and driving continuous improvement to support student success is required., Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; we do not sponsor visa applications. These are Grade 3, permanent posts working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days starting as soon as possible once pre-employment checks are completed. The pro‑rata salary is £21,662 and the full time equivalent is £25,185.
