Are you a compassionate, adaptable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in children’s lives? We are working in partnership with a highly regarded 4-form entry mainstream primary school in Poole, which includes a well-established SEN Hub, to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to start this September.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across the school supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Provide targeted support to pupils with EHCPs across various year groups
Collaborate closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and specialist staff
Encourage and promote independence, confidence, and inclusion
Support the delivery of personalised learning programmes
Experience working in a primary school setting is essential
Passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
SEN experience is desirable but not essential – a willingness to learn is key
Patient, resilient, and confident in building strong relationships with children
A team player who can adapt to different classroom settings and pupil needs
A vibrant, welcoming and diverse school community
A dedicated SEN Hub and expert staff to support professional growth
