Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant ready for a new role?

Would you like to work in an SEN setting in Preston, supporting children within the classroom?

We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for a full-time role in an SEN school in Preston.

You will be supporting children aged 8-18 1-1 or within small groups. Pupils within the school have varying needs, including autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience and understanding of how to support young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • School experience supporting students in a classroom or 1-1
  • References covering the last two years
  • Hold a current DBS on the update service, or are willing to complete a new DBS
  • The Right to Work in the UK

Duties will include:

  • Supporting and supervising educational games, sports, and craft activities
  • Preparing the classroom before lessons
  • Working with pupils in small groups and working 1:1 with children with additional needs
  • Putting together displays of children s work
  • Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
  • Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
  • Supervising group activities
