Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our network of inclusive Liverpool primary schools, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional or behavioural difficulties. The role is permanent, full‑time, 35 hours per week and involves close collaboration with the class teacher to provide high‑quality support to learners across a range of primary schools.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEND across mainstream and nurture bases, including 1:1 support.
  • Assist in lesson planning and delivery, providing practical and emotional support to learners.
  • Manage behaviour and safety of children during school hours and transport.
  • Use online reporting tools to record communication with parents and any pupil concerns.
  • Assist with the induction and ongoing training of new staff members.
  • Maintain records and assist with reporting under safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
  • Recent graduate or GDA qualification, or prior classroom experience preferred.
  • Clean driving licence with at least five years driving experience and over 25 years of age for transport roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and visitors.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to different working patterns.
