A leading educational support service in Hedge End is seeking a Specialist Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide support for students with additional needs. You will work closely with children in a nurturing environment to help them access learning and develop social skills. The role starts in January 2026 and offers a competitive salary ranging from £85 to £92 per day. This role is ideal for someone with a compassionate approach and experience in supporting students with SEMH.

We are seeking an Social, Emotional and Mental Health Specialist Teaching Assistant who has experience with those with Autism, SEMH, ADHD and Physical Disabilities to join an Ofsted Rated “Good” school in Hedge End. This rewarding role involves supporting students with additional needs both 1:1 or with 2 children maximum, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential. You will be working within the school’s “Pod” which supports children with additional needs to be nurtured in their learning and socialisation so they may re-join their mainstream classroom full time. The role will be starting from January 2026 until Easter 2026 with the school looking to make the position permanent for the right person.
