Qualifications

  • Ability to work with special educational needs (SEN) students is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support as Teaching Assistants or Higher-Level Teaching Assistants.
  • Assist with social, emotional, and behavioral support as Learning Mentors.
  • Support students with special educational needs in one-on-one or small group settings.

Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in education? We are currently seeking dedicated Teaching and Learning Support Staff to work on an ad-hoc, temporary basis in primary, secondary, and SEN schools across the Thornton, Blackpool and Fylde area. All roles are an asap start!

Opportunities
  • Teaching Assistants (L2 or L3 TAs): Provide essential classroom support, either generally or on a one-on-one basis.
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistants (L3/4 HLTAs): Take on more responsibility, including leading small groups, covering lessons and planning / marking lesson content.
  • SEN Teaching Assistants: Offer crucial one-to-one or small-group support to students with special needs.
  • Learning Mentors / Pastoral Support Workers: Focus on the social, emotional, and behavioural well-being of students.

Ideally, you will be available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, during term time. However, we can also accommodate some part-time roles for two to three days per week, depending on the school's needs. If you are interested in SEN work, previous experience in an SEN or care settings is highly desirable.
