Position Overview

Teacher Support for Learning – Fixed term until 29/06/2027

Tynecastle High School, 850 pupils, six‑year comprehensive secondary school serving west‑central Edinburgh. The school offers a wide range of subjects and prides itself on strong pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils supported by the Support for Learning team.
  • Assist in the integration of pupils with a wide range of needs and abilities into the curriculum.
  • Support pastoral care and ensure the welfare of pupils.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to promote inclusive education.
Qualifications & Checks
  • You will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • Where a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK has been spent in the last 5 years, you must provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
  • Employment and commencement are contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
