King Edward VI College, Stourbridge is a sixth‑form college and a member of the Heart of Mercia Trust. We deliver a broad academic curriculum and a vibrant co‑curriculum with almost 100 clubs, groups and activities. The college is committed to supporting students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and to preparing them for careers and higher education.

Position Summary

The college is seeking a part‑time Teacher of Sociology (0.8 FTE) to start after Easter. This role is a maternity‑leave cover and will run until 31 January 2027. The post is temporary and is subject to the conditions of service handbook of the Sixth Form Colleges Association.

  • Provide feedback to pupils and support them to develop independent study skills.
