Overview

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and dynamic teachers to take on the positions of Teacher of Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics). All three specialisms are needed and welcomed in order to meet the Government's ambition for separate sciences to be taught to KS4. These roles will allow the successful candidates to grow and develop within the Academy while taking on greater responsibility. You will be working closely within a team to promote a positive ethos in classrooms and across the faculty to ensure a stimulating learning environment.

Start date

We are seeking to recruit exceptional full time Teachers of Science to join us in April 2026 or as soon as possible. The successful candidates will be looking for an opportunity to enhance their career in the classroom and have the ability to effectively develop their pedagogy and practice.

Responsibilities
  • Experience of teaching Science across KS3-5 is essential.
  • Be an enthusiastic, lively and versatile teacher with a passion for your subject and the desire to contribute to the development of the Science faculty and the Academy as a whole.
  • Work as part of a team to promote a positive ethos in classrooms and across the faculty to ensure a stimulating learning environment.
  • The post would suit experienced teachers or ECTs, for whom an effective induction scheme is in place.
  • This is an exciting time to join the Academy and support its improvement with an opportunity to make a difference within the subject area and across the Academy.
