A UK-based educational institution seeks a full-time Teacher of design technology to join their technology teaching team. The successful candidate will teach design technology to key stages 3, 4 and potentially 5, engaging in extracurricular activities as needed. Ideal candidates hold an honours degree and DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status. The role offers several benefits including access to the Teachers’ Pensions Scheme and healthcare support.
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of design technology as part of our school technology teaching team. Applications are welcome from all DT specialisms however the ability to teach textiles would be preferred.
Planning and teaching lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach within the context of the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work. The successful candidate would teach design technology to key stage 3, 4 and potentially to key stage 5 and be expected to engage in extra-curricular activity as required.
The post is full-time and permanent, to begin in either Easter or September 2026 and is suitable for both experienced and Early Career teachers. This role reports to the head of design technology.
