Overview

Alleyn's School, in Dulwich, South London are seeking a full-time, permanent Teacher of Biology for the start of the Lent term, Thursday 8 January 2026.

The successful candidate, while primarily a Biology specialist, will be expected to teach combined science at Key Stage 3. An ability and willingness to also teach Chemistry up to KS4 would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Biology to Key Stage 3 and contribute to teaching combined science at KS3.
  • For the right candidate, take on the possibility of immediate departmental responsibility, including acting as the formal Second in Department for Biology.
Qualifications and qualities
  • Demonstrates a real love for science and for learning, with the ability to convey this to and motivate pupils and staff.
  • Has natural empathy and pastoral instinct and can work as part of a strong team.
