Kingsbrook School are looking to recruit an outstanding Teacher to join our Teaching team to start in April 2026!

The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.

Teacher required for our small SEMH school that specialises in 11-18 year olds with mental health difficulties and complex learning needs. The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of and experience in working with young people who experience mental health difficulties and whom have emotional, communication and attachment needs. Experience of working with Post-16 students developing their independent living skills and skills for working life is desirable.

We are seeking to appoint a motivated, skilled and resilient Qualified or Unqualified Teacher with experience and / or a strong interest in supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties along with autism. The chosen candidate will demonstrate energy, enthusiasm and the ability to teach effectively across a range of subject areas.

  • Communication – Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
  • Organisation – You will have experience of organising, planning and teaching well‑structured lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils as well as monitoring each students learning needs, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each pupil.
  • Caring – Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.
  • Attentive – No two tasks will be the same so being attentive to understand the needs of the young people we support is vital
