TA, Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician, After School Club Assistant at Corsham Primary School

Location: Pound Pill, Corsham, Wiltshire, SN13 9YW

Contract: Permanent / Fixed Term / Term Time Only; Term: Part-Time; Salary (FTE): £24,413.00 - £25,185.00 per annum; Actual Salary: Teaching Assistant – £4,278 per annum, Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician – £2,765 per annum, After School Club Assistant – £6,418 per annum.

Closing Date: 12:00pm 28th Jan 2026; Start Date: 12th Feb 2026; Positions Available: 1; Interview: Week of Monday 2nd Feb 2026; End date for fixed‑term terms: 12th Feb 2027.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will hold all three roles concurrently. The permanent After School Club Assistant position will be temporarily linked to the fixed‑term Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Playworker roles for the duration of those contracts. Any resignation or termination from one role will result in the end of all linked roles. Once the fixed‑term contracts conclude, the candidate will continue in the permanent After School Club Assistant role.

Working Hours
  • Teaching Assistant – 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (term time, excluding TD days)
  • Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician – 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (term time, excluding TD days)
  • After School Club Assistant – 11.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (term time, excluding TD days)
Working Pattern
  • Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician – 12:15pm – 1:15pm
  • Teaching Assistant – 1:15pm – 2:45pm
  • After School Club Assistant – 3:15pm – 5:30pm
  • Unpaid lunch break: 2:45pm – 3:15pm

We are looking for a friendly and flexible individual to join our team in a combined role as Teaching Assistant, Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician, and After School Club Assistant at Corsham Primary School (Broadwood site). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing safe and enjoyable play at lunchtime
  • Assisting with practical classroom activities
  • Contributing to a positive environment in the after‑school club
  • Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team

Corsham Primary School is located in the picturesque Wiltshire market town of Corsham, near Bath, and is arranged over two sites at either side of the town. The Pound Pill site offers 14 classes and the Broadwood site houses 10 classes, supporting children from Reception to Year 6.
