Systems Administrator (Power BI & SQL) - Sandbach - Permanent - Salary (DOE)

Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking organisation who are looking for a Systems Administrator with solid Power BI and SQL experience to join their team.

Joining a team of 5, reporting into the IT Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position, where you will be valued and supported.

The position offers a mix of IT systems support and business intelligence/reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage IT access for new employees, departing staff, and role changes.
  • Investigate software issues and coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve them.
  • Support testing and maintenance of both new and existing software.
  • Assist in improving IT systems through customizations and process enhancements.
  • Contribute to IT projects aimed at enhancing business systems and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, including advanced features like hyperlinks and drill‑throughs.
  • Provide training and support to users on Power BI tools and reporting.
  • Assist IT leadership in maintaining the systems infrastructure.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers.
  • Collaborate with the broader IT team on system development and user support.

The successful candidate will have experience using Power BI to create reports, dashboards, and perform data modelling. They will have strong SQL skills for querying and managing data from internal systems, excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities along with a good understanding of IT systems and user access processes. Advanced Power BI skills would be highly advantageous.

The role is office based, with a choice of shifts: 08:30-16:30 or 09:00-17:00, 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays and your birthday off! You will be working within a supportive and collaborative team culture with likeminded technical professionals.
