What You'll Accomplish
- Integration: Develop and execute system/subsystem test and integration activities.
- Interface Definition: Develop and manage electrical, communication, and physical interfaces across the system.
- Testing & Validation: Create and implement system-level test plans to verify functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve integration issues, including hardware/software mismatches and communication errors.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work with engineers and physicists across disciplines to ensure cohesive system integration.
- Support Project Execution: Contribute to project planning and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Risk and Feasibility Analysis: Participate in risk assessments and rapid prototyping to validate design concepts.
- Expand Technical Breadth: Gain understanding of quantum computer subsystems, performance metrics, and environmental requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system integration, testing, and verification.
Key Attributes for Candidates
- Extensive experience in system integration of complex technologies.
- Hands-on experience managing complex systems from concept to delivery, with proficiency in Ansys, MatLab, LabVIEW, TestRail, and SysML.
- Empathetic leadership skills to support and guide engineering teams and physicists.
Minimum Requirements
- 10-15 years of practical system engineering experience with complex system integration challenges.
- Experience with electrical, functional, and mechanical testing of subsystems.
- Strong understanding of hardware, digital, embedded, and mechanical design principles.
- Proficiency in translating requirements into specifications and developing test plans.
- Experience bringing system designs to market successfully.
- Proficiency with Ansys, MatLab, LabVIEW, TestRail, and SysML.
- Experience working with suppliers and contractors.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering or related field (minimum 2.1 BEng/BSc).

- Experience with cryogenic and vacuum environments.
