Job summary

A growing tech company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Symfony Developer who goes beyond coding to think about product features from a business and user perspective. In this full-time role, you will refactor the current application and help integrate AI features. The ideal candidate will have expert Symfony skills, strong database design abilities, and a product mindset, along with the ability to work independently and a basic understanding of frontend technologies. Fluent English is required with overlapping hours with EST.

We’re hiring a Symfony Developer who’s more than just a coder—you’re a product thinker who understands how features should work from a business and user perspective.

This is a full-time, fully focused role. If you're looking for a side gig or part-time work, this isn't the right fit.

Our product (BookingAgentInfo.com) connects businesses with celebrities and influencers for endorsements, brand partnerships, and event bookings. We’re growing fast and the main focus for whoever we hire will be to rebuild our current application. We h We’re also integrating AI features that enhance our internal workflows and user experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Refactor and improve our Symfony codebase for performance and maintainability
  • Build features with a strong understanding of business logic and user needs
  • Translate product requirements into smart data relationships and clean architecture
  • Test your work like a real user—there’s no dedicated QA team
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and team to shape the product
What We’re Looking For
  • Expert Symfony skills (Symfony 4.4+ and Doctrine)
  • Product mindset—you care about how things work and why
  • Strong database design skills (MySQL or similar)
  • Able to work independently, move fast, and take ownership
  • Comfortable with basic frontend (HTML, CSS, JS framework like Vue or React)
  • Fluent in English, with at least 4 hours overlap with 9 AM–6 PM EST
