Job Summary

Millfield School is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the position of Swimming Pool and Sports Facilities Duty Manager.

Millfield boasts a distinguished reputation in swimming, encompassing student swim programmes, private lessons, and impressive 50m and 25m pools. Integral to this achievement are our remarkable team of Duty Managers and pool facilities staff.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a valid NPLQ certification.
• Experience in lifeguarding and leadership preferred but not required.
• Experience working in a busy pool environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as key holder.
• Lead a team of lifeguards and swim teachers.
• Perform lifeguard duties at both the Millfield Senior Pool and Millfield Prep Pool.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, codes of practice, and operating procedures.
• Set up and dismantle equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Supervise the Cricket Centre and Golf Centre.
• Experience in the leisure industry or customer service is advantageous.

Working Conditions

This is a year‑round role working 35 hours per week on a rota basis, covering the opening hours of both our swimming pools during days, evenings and weekends.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £24,059 per annum.
