We are looking for Swimming Teachers for Thornbury Active Lifestyle Centre!

Your role will include:

1. Teaching swimming to the required program
2. Keeping records of the learners' achievements
3. Ensuring that lessons are set up and cleared away in line with Circadian Trust procedures
4. Maintaining a safe environment at all times following health and safety guidance
5. Supporting environmental systems and promoting healthy lifestyles

You will:

1. Be a good communicator and have knowledge of current health and safety legislation
2. Take pride in your work, be punctual, organized, and reliable
3. Hold at least STA Level 2 Award in Swim Teaching qualification
4. Receive excellent training, career development, and the opportunity to work with like-minded people

Available hours:

• Friday 4:00pm - 6:00pm
• Saturday 8:30am - 11:00am
• Sunday 8:30am - 10:30am
• Sunday 8:00am - 10:30am

Pay = £14.56 (Level 1), £17.37 (Level 2) per hour

Note on Qualifications:

• Swim England Level 1 Qualified Candidates: We no longer accept Level 1 qualifications. If you hold this, we will consider your application but require you to attend an STA Level 2 Award course and a poolside assessment during the interview process. You can arrange this yourself or attend one of our in-house courses. If offered a role and you choose to qualify with us, we will fund 100% of the course; for casual roles, 50% funding applies, both upon signing a training agreement.
• STA Qualified Candidates: The STA offers Level 2 Award and Level 2 Certificate. The Certificate is a higher qualification. Teachers with the Award are paid at Level 1 rate, those with the Certificate at Level 2 rate.
