Sustainability Analyst

Location: Melsonby, United Kingdom | Full time

Your Challenge

What you will do

This role plays a pivotal part in SWARCO's environmental and social responsibility goals. Working closely with the QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment) team, you will monitor, analyze, and improve sustainability performance, contributing to our global and local Net Zero strategy.

This is not a graduate role; we are seeking a semi-experienced professional based near or willing to travel to our production site in Melsonby, Yorkshire. You will report to our QHSSE Manager. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of Carbon Reduction Plans (CRPs).
  • Assisting in the preparation of sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to embed sustainable practices into business operations.
  • Tracking progress against sustainability KPIs and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promoting how our organization can positively impact local communities and the environment.
Your Profile

What we are looking for

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of handling complex projects and engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with sustainability software and tools (including Mobius, LCA Software).
  • Experience in managing CoSHH assessments and Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Managing Waste Management Contracts, including waste licenses, registrations, and exemptions.
  • Ability to produce and deliver environmental learning materials such as toolbox talks and Bulletins.
